2013 Scion FR-S Packs a Sporty Punch

When most people hear the word "Scion," they think small, affordable boxy autos with a quirky personalities. That view of the brand will soon change with the release of the 2013 Scion FR-S- a completely different vehicle than we've seen from the automaker before. If we had to make a comparison, it would be the Scion tC, but unless we're focusing on a somewhat similar shape, that evaluation doesn't really hold. The new Scion FR-S is a sporty, sleek coupe that looks more like a luxury model than a price conscious one- even though it will certainly have a low starting MSRP when it rolls off production lines this spring.

Indiana Toyota Plant Reaches 3 Millionth Vehicle Milestone

It's hard to imagine exactly what three million vehicles in a room would look like, but that's how many would be stacked up at the Princeton, Indiana Toyota plant if it showcased all of the vehicles it has produced up to this point. Number three million was a silver Toyota Sienna seven-passenger van. The Sienna was the best-selling minivan in America for the 2011 year.

Private Party/For Sale By Owner

Pros: Assumedly the biggest pro with Private Party Sales is the Price.

Not only are Private Owner?s price ranges more negotiable (they often have no bottom line and are anxious to get rid of a car), they also know they have to sell it for less, as they are presumably providing less "value".

The next biggest Pro is that you get to meet…

Toyota Fun-Vii: The Car of the Future

Do you remember your first car? Maybe it was even a Toyota. Think of all the freedom it brought you and the excitement you felt as you cruised down country lanes and city streets. Now, stop. Think about what it would have felt like not to experience that sense of wanderlust. That's what many teenagers and young adults are facing today- except that some of them actually choose technology over having an automobile. BBC News reports, "In 1978, 50% of 16-year-olds had obtained their first driving licen[s]e. In 2008, according to the US Transportation Department, it was just 30%.The number of those aged 19 and under with driving licen[s]es has also been in steady decline since its 1978 peak, when 11,989,000 had one. In 2010, it was 9,932,441, or 4.1% of American drivers."1And, this isn't all; the more shocking news is that in a recent survey, 46 percent of 18 to 24-year-olds stated that they would choose having internet access over owning their own cars. Gone are the days of sex-symbol vehicles; it's now more popular to interact using social media and gaming platforms.

Toyota Brings Camry Owners Together with the 'Camry Effect'

Did you know there are currently over seven million Toyota Camry owners in the United Sates? For 30 years, the Camry has been an integral part of many special memories in this country. Because of this, Toyota has decided to launch "The Camry Effect"- an interactive platform for owners to share memories, milestones, and moments with involving their vehicles. As Kimberley Gardiner, National Digital Marketing and Social Manager for Toyota, explains, "There are millions of Camry owners out there, but each has a unique and important story to tell. The Camry Effect connects these owners and helps them learn a little more about their individual stories-from favorite part of a road trip to Camry models passed down through generations. The site personalizes the experience of driving a Camry in a fun, engaging way."1

Toyota Prius Lineup Named 2012 Best Green Car to Buy

Want to know what the best green car out there is? That's actually a trick question because according to GreenCarReports, the answer isn't merely one vehicle... Rather it's the entire Toyota Prius family of cars.

Toyota Sunnyvale was pleased and impressed to see that the Prius was able to defy the title of the "Best Green Car to Buy" awards by making the judges choose a total of four models, rather than…

Toyota & Intel Partner for Toyota Infotainment

In an effort to further the development of in-vehicle interfaces, Toyota and Intel recently signed a memorandum of understanding. This means that they'll partner in the future to create a new infotainment system that offers drivers more of the information they need, while making it easier for them to digest it behind the wheel without having to take their eyes off the road.

While this represents a huge step in the right direction for…

2012 Toyota 4Runner, Now Featuring Entune

Japanese automaker, Toyota is preparing to launch its new infotainment system known simply as Entune. Initially it was set to debut in three 2012 models: The 2012 Camry, 2012 Tacoma, and the forthcoming 2012 Prius v. In their infinite wisdom, however, Toyota has opted to endow the 2012 Toyota 4Runner with the Entune system as well!

Why pick the Toyota 4runner to receive Toyota Entune? It actually makes perfect sense when you consider the 27-year-long…
