Toyota Future Car Challenge

Toyota hybrid cars are leading the march for a "Future Car Challenge" - Toyota low carbon / low emission cars will be out in force at a November RAC Future Car Challenge event. Three generations of the ground breaking and award winning Toyota Prius hybrid will be the stars of this annual event.

On November 6th, electric, hybrid and low-emission rides are going to travel a 60-mile course from Brighton to London. This is part of a huge effort to display the best energy performance during the route.

Toyota Swagger Stretch Minivan

2010 SEMA showed us a few interesting vehicles, including Toyota's Swagger Wagon Supreme concept - based on the 2011 Sienna, it's a stretched out concept. It takes the minivan to another level. The Swagger Wagon Supreme features a wheelbase stretched by 44 inches, creating more room for people, but still retaining its seven-seat configuration.

From the front seats to the tailgate Sienna's carpet has been replaced with wood flooring. The second row "captain's" chairs now swivel and have been moved rearward to make room for a spa seat with massage function.

Toyota Debuts RAV4 Electric at LA Auto Show

Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), U.S.A., Inc. (TMS) will debut the Toyota RAV4 EV during the Los Angeles Auto Show media days, on November 17 at 2:50 PM at the Toyota booth in South Hall at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Jim Lentz, president and chief operating officer, TMS, will speak at the news conference.  Greg Bernas, chief engineer, Toyota Technical Center, and Shigeki Terashi, president, Toyota Technical Center, also will be in attendance.
